In the Profiles App, By selecting Patent Court Cases from the left side menu, a table of patent court cases associated with the entity is listed. Along with the number of cases, the following information is listed:
- Case
- Plaintiffs
- Defendants
- Judges
- Filing Date
- Closed Date
The table can be sorted in date order ascending or descending by Filing Date or Closed Date, and the data can be exported to a spreadsheet file.
By clicking on a particular case hyperlink the Court Case profile is displayed, which includes a link to the original complaint as well as other data including:
- Case Number
- Case ID
- Court ID
- Nature of Suit
- Plaintiffs
- Defendant
- Judges
- Other Party Members
- Top Level CPC Classifications [should be codes]
- Filed Date
- Closed Date
- Dismiss Date
- Discharge Date
- Patents
- Attorneys
- Docket Entries
The docket list contains the entry number, description, related entries and the date, and is sortable by the entry number. The only docket entry with a hyperlink to its PDF document will be the Original Complaint. Any patents will be hyperlinked to their respective profiles.
“Show in Groups” offers several ways that the patent court cases can be grouped:
- Court ID
- Defendants
- Judges
- Law Firm Name
- Plaintiffs
- Top Level CPC Classifications
There are several filters on the left hand side that enable the narrowing of the search results:
- Text entry box
- Filing Date (slider or date entry box)
- Closed Date (slider or date entry box)
- Defendants (lookup box and check box)
- Plaintiffs (lookup box and check box)
- Judges (lookup box and check box)
- Law Firms (lookup box and check box)
- Case Status (lookup box and check box)
- Court ID (lookup box and check box)
- Top Level CPC Classifications
