The "Advanced" button in the Profiles App displays the advanced search box and allows for a list companies to be developed by entering a:

• Company Name (question, what is the difference between this and just entering a name in the search box?)

  SIC code

• US classifications

• or Top level CPC classifications

NOTE: This particular search is inclusive, so you can enter data in all fields.

After the fields have been populated, the search is executed by clicking the Search button at the bottom of the box.

Results are listed on the left hand side of the screen.  Each entry can be selected for inclusion into the IP Profile by clicking either the “Select Company” or “Select Company w/ Subsidiaries” button after which the selected company will appear in the “Selected Companies” list on the right hand side of the screen.  Additional searches can be performed and additional entities can be included in the IP Profile.  Entries can be removed from consideration for inclusion into the Combined IP Profile by selecting the “Remove Company” button next to that entry.

Add all companies - The “Add all companies” button will move all entities listed in the results as a result of the search to the “Selected Companies” side of the screen.

If the number of results exceeds 500, the “Add all companies” button is deactivated.  You can still add all of the companies but only one at a time.

Save - The Save button saves the selected entities.  An alert can be created to notify user of any changes (to what?).  An email will be generated either daily, weekly, biweekly or monthly. allows a search to be saved for future use. If If the “Create automatic alert” checkbox is selected, the user will be prompted to pick how often alerts related to the entity will be sent via email (Daily, Weekly, Bi-Weekly, or Monthly).  After the save is completed, the button changes from “Save” to “Saved”.
